A reputable sociocultural organization in Nigeria De Saints International club
during the weekend take free quality eye care to over 300 patients with different eye related challenges were attended to by a team of ophthalmologist and others heath officials
The beneficiaries received free drugs, reading glasses and counseling
Speaking at the ceremony The Mayor of the club Barrister Ekemejero Ohwovoriole (SAN) who is Delta State Commissioner for Justice and Attorney- General , explained that the choice of the club’s engagements was determined by what the members, across the state wanted for their communities after thorough needs assessments.
He urges members to continue to uphold the ideals of the club, remain united and focused on pulling resources to give back to society.
On his part Deputy Mayor and Chairman, Charity Committee of the club Mr.Sekene Akpobowei,said impacting the life of the less privileged in the society was the main thrust of the organization founded about three decades ago.
The organization was happy with the turnout of the people of ISSELE-UKU
many elderly men and women,who either lacked the resources to access quality eye care or hardly the time to do so, benefitted from the PROGRAMME.
Some of the beneficiaries including Madam Grace,Mr Pius Okobi and a visually impaired young man,Thanked the club for this gesture and were satisfied with the checks,counsel and treatment received.
