This charge was made today, during an Avocacy visit by the Society Of Women Accountants of Nigerian SWAN Asaba chaper at Anglican Girls Gramar School Asaba Delta State. AGGS
Speaking during the opening remark of the Avocacy and interactive session, the Chairperson of the event , Mrs. Evelyn Odeh explains that, Accountants are the backbone of any organization, providing critical financial insights that inform business decisions, drive economic growth, and promote transparency and accountability.
These fact have made it imperative for proper awareness and advocacy of the woman wig of the noble profession.

The Resource person Mrs. Margaret Omatseye spoke on the Theme : “Finding Your Passion: How Accountants can Change The World” Mrs. Margaret stated that , everyone has passion for something but you must endeavor to identify yours and work towards it. She said passion is simply what you can easily do with inner joy.
The Resource Person defines an Accountant as a professional who specializes in the preparation, examination, and analysis of financial records.
She further explains that , an Accountants ensures that financial transactions are accurately recorded and reported, and that financial statements are presented in a clear and transparent manner.

According to Mrs. Margaret, an Accountant may work in different organization. Like
.Public accounting firms,Private industry
Government agencies, Non-profit organizations
.They must possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as excellent communication and organization.
Adding that, Accountants pay attention to detail, posess analytical and problem-solving skills,have Organizational and time management skills. Possess Communication and interpersonal skills have Knowledge of accounting principles and standards

In furtherance to definding the profession, overall, accountants play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and transparency of financial information, and are essential to the operation of businesses, governments, and other organizations.
Mrs. Margaret outlined the requires that qualifies you to becoming a professional ICAN mwmber ,stating that at least five credits including Mathematics and English Language. Writing of an examination called Accountants Technician Scheme ITS. for those in Secondary school and those with a different degree and are interested in becoming Chartered Accountant.
Accountants typically have a bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related field, and may also hold advanced degrees or certifications
