A Chieftain of the All Progressive Congress (APC) and Delta State House of Assembly Candidate for Ndokwa West Constituency in the 2023 general elections, Hon. Valentine Nneoma Oyemike, has congratulated High Chief Johnson Opone on his appointment as a member of the Board of Trustees of the Pan-Niger Delta Forum (PANDEF).

Hon. Oyemike described the appointment as a well-deserved recognition of Chief Opone’s unwavering commitment to the development of the Niger Delta region. He noted that Opone’s leadership, experience, and dedication to the socio-economic advancement of the region have earned him this prestigious role.

According to him, “Chief Johnson Opone’s appointment is a testament to his immense contribution to the developmental vision of the Niger Delta. His track record in promoting economic growth, community development, and regional progress is well known. PANDEF has made an excellent choice in recognizing a man of his caliber.”

Hon. Oyemike also called on all Ndokwa sons and daughters to rally around High Chief Opone in this new role. He emphasized that supporting their own in such strategic positions will create more opportunities for Ndokwa people and strengthen their influence in regional and national affairs.

“As Ndokwa people, we must unite behind our own and show that we are ready for greater responsibilities. This appointment is not just about Chief Opone, but about the recognition of progressive leadership that abound in Ndokwa land,” he added.

He expressed confidence that Chief Opone would bring his wealth of experience to bear in advancing the objectives of PANDEF, ensuring that the Niger Delta region gets the attention and development it deserves.

Hon. Oyemike reaffirmed his commitment to the collective progress of the Ndokwa nation and urged stakeholders to continue working for greater political and economic recognition for the people of the area.
