Former Super Eagles defender and member, Delta football association, Sam Sodje, has congratulated the Delta State Governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, on the occasion of his one year anniversary as the Governor of Delta State.
This congratulatory message was contained in a statement signed by the footballer and released to newsmen which reads:
“As we begin the activities towards the celebrations of your Excellency’s first year in office, as the governor of our dear State, on 29/5/2024 (which happens to be my BIRTHDAY 🎂), I heartily offer my warm congratulations to His Excellency, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Francis Oborevwori.
“On behalf of the sporting community in Delta State, I congratulate your excellency on the journey so far.
“Your excellency actions and decisions in the governance of the State in the past twelve months, is a pointer of what we should expect in the next three years of your excellency’s tenure.
“As a member of the sports family in Delta State, I want to specifically thank your excellency on the contributions that has been taken by this government that has directly affected the development of the sports sector and the welfare of sports men and women.
“I want to appeal to your excellency to continue in this light so as to enable our state to get the true benefits that are associated with a properly developed sports sector in the state.
“While joining others in celebrating this milestone, I want your excellency to know that the sports family in Delta State are solidly behind your Excellency’s’ government in working towards achieving the M.O.R.E agenda of this government for the benefit of Deltans and Delta State.
