Tony Amechi Foundation Rescues Mr. Benson Mgbaka, His Wife, and Newborn Baby Held at General Hospital, Warri
Through the steadfast commitment to supporting vulnerable individuals in need, the Tony Amechi Foundation is delighted to announce that Mr. Benson Mgbaka, his wife, and their newborn baby have been released from General Hospital, Warri, where they had been held since October 11, 2024, due to unpaid medical bills.
The foundation was made aware of their situation after a publication by Ukwani Trumpet highlighted the plight of this young family from Igbe Ogume. Upon learning of their distress, our chairman, a dedicated philanthropist and champion of compassionate outreach, Chief Dr. Tony Amechi, personally took action to settle their medical debt, totaling ₦200,000. Today, on Saturday, November 9, 2024, their debt was fully cleared, enabling the release of the family from the hospital.
The Tony Amechi Foundation is built upon values of kindness, empathy, and unwavering commitment to improving lives within our communities. This act reflects our dedication to easing the burdens faced by families during their most challenging times.
With hearts full of gratitude, Mr. Benson Mgbaka and his family have returned home to Ogume. The relief and joy this intervention brought to them underscore the importance of coming together as a community to support one another in times of need.
The Tony Amechi Foundation extends its heartfelt thanks to the community and media partners like Ukwani Trumpet for drawing attention to critical issues impacting our people. We remain committed to our mission and will continue to stand by individuals and families, offering assistance wherever we can.
