UNIDEL, AGBOR CHAPTERS OF SSANU, NASU, EMBARK ON WARNING STRIKE
The University of Delta, Agbor chapters of the Senior Staff Association of Nigerian Universities (SSANU) and the Non Academic Staff Union (NASU) of the University of Delta, Agbor, have resolved to embark on a five,-day warning strike with effect from Wednesday, 21st August, 2024.
The decision was taken at a joint meeting of the two unions held on Tuesday, 20th August, 2024, following the failure of the management of the University to implement the revised Consolidated Tertiary Institution Salary Structure CONTISS) and the accrued arrears after several demands.
In a statement signed by the Acting Chairman of SSANU, Comrade Umukoro Oghenekaro, his NASU counterpart, Comrade Ikwu Joel and their Secretaries, Comrade Egben-Aselue Joel and Comrade Emmanuel Osemeka, the unions directed their members to stay away from work during the period of the warning strike.
